About Firing Point

Firing Point operates as a specialized engineering outlet focused exclusively on forced reset trigger systems. Founded in 2018, the company emerged from identified gaps in consumer-grade FRT reliability and geometric consistency.

Silas Vance leads technical development. His background includes five years as lead R&D engineer for boutique trigger components, specializing in force curve optimization and geometric lock design. Vance authored the FRT-15 Installation & Timing Protocol, now adopted by multiple aftermarket specialists.

All components undergo 72-hour cyclic testing at 600 rounds/hour. Each unit receives individual force curve documentation. Tolerances held to ±0.0005" on critical engagement surfaces. No mass-production shortcuts implemented.

Selection criteria prioritize metallurgical consistency over volume. 4140 steel used exclusively for hammer/sear interfaces. Heat treatment to 50-52 HRC. All engagement angles verified against digital protractors pre-shipment.

Direct consumer feedback integrated into Version 3 geometric revisions. Reduced reset travel by 0.015" compared to industry standard. Added secondary sear engagement surface for drop-safety redundancy.

Operates from 1200 sq ft facility in Prescott, AZ. All machining and assembly performed in-house. No third-party manufacturing partnerships.
